2009 Dallas 100. Entrepreneurs are a vital part of our local economy, yet their efforts often go unrecognized. In 1991, the Dallas 100 was founded to identify and honor the 100 fastest growing privately held companies in the Metroplex. A 19 year tradition, KBA Group LLP is proud to have been the accounting firm sponsor since its inception, along with the SMU Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship. The companies that qualify for the 2008 Dallas 100:
- are independent, privately-held corporations, proprietorships or partnerships, not subsidiaries or divisions of a parent company
- are headquartered in the Dallas Metroplex area
- have sales of more than $500,000, but less than $75 million in the fiscal year 2006
- have a three-year sales history which reflects growth during the three-year sales period
- have a credit report and character satisfactory to the Dallas 100, determined at the sole discretion of the Dallas 100, and
- submit a completed application by August 15, 2009
2008 Dallas 100. The 2008 Dallas 100 winners were recognized for their accomplishments at the annual awards ceremony held at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. The statistics* for the 100 winning companies are a factual testament to the important role entrepreneurs play in our economy. Together, the Dallas 100:
- Generated more than $9.9 billion in sales during the past 3 years.
- Grew the number of employees from 11,391 in 2005 to 22,677 in 2007.
- Generated sales in 2007 of $4.7 billion.
- Grew average sales from 2005 to 2007 by 171%.
* The statistics are gathered from the data submitted on applications. Each year's application gathers the data for the previous three year period. For 2008, the application required data for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
